Yes — and the tricky part is that childhood trauma doesn't always show up as flashbacks or obvious pain. Sometimes it looks like people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, overreacting to small things, or never feeling quite safe even when life is going well.
Thinking you're "over it" often just means you've gotten really good at functioning around it.
Healing isn't about going back — it's about finally understanding why you do the things you do, and giving yourself permission to respond differently.
