How do you talk to someone you love about a health concern you've noticed in them?

You've noticed something — a change, a symptom, a pattern — and every time you think about bringing it up you imagine them shutting down, getting defensive, or pulling away.

Saying "I'm worried about you" to someone who doesn't want to be worried about is one of the loneliest positions love can put you in.
