yeah this hits. i think it starts with small stuff tbh, like noticing what you actually like when no one’s expecting anything from you. what you choose to watch, eat, do with your time when it’s just you.
ReplyDeleteit feels weird at first, like you’re kinda empty or lost, but that’s normal. you’ve just been used to being “useful” all the time.
also learning to say no helps a lot, even in small ways. that’s usually where you start seeing what’s really yours vs what you’ve been doing for others.
it’s not like you suddenly “find yourself” overnight, it’s more like slowly meeting yourself for the first time.
