How do you deal with chronic pain that no one around you can see or understand?

The hardest thing about invisible pain isn't the pain itself — it's having to prove it exists to people who love you but just can't see it.

You learn to smile through it, to downplay it, to stop bringing it up because you're tired of watching people not know what to say.

Are you carrying pain right now that the people around you don't fully understand — and what do you wish they knew?

  1. Sometimes the pain is not the hardest part, it’s the feeling that people think you are okay just because they can’t see anything wrong. I also got tired explaining myself before. Some days you just smile and act normal because you don’t want to sound like complaining again. I just wish people understand that invisible pain is still real, and even small understanding or patience already helps a lot.
